Description du projet :
This project has the ambition to bring digital manufacturing based on material removal to a higher maturity level. In particular, the project aims at conceiving and developing the main technological building block of a novel, integrated digital manufacturing pipeline while leveraging the behavioral digital twin concept. The project deliverables are : 1) A Physical Modeling Lab where machine-tool behaviors (thermal, vibrations, tool wear, etc.) will be analyzed, understood and modelled; 2) Digital Twinning Lab where the modelled behaviors are implemented through modular software components; 3) Virtual Machining Lab where machining programs and strategies can be virtually tested and tuned before deploying them onto physical machine-tools.
