Raphaël Widmer has been Deputy for the Visual Communication Department at HEAD – Geneva since 2018. He oversees the academic progress of students enrolled in the Bachelor's programmes in Graphic Design and Illustration, coordinates teaching assignments, and supports the department’s team of assistants. He also contributes to the management and development of the department, working closely with the Head of Programme and the Heads of the different study programs.
A graduate of CFP Arts Geneva (Federal VET Diploma and Professional Baccalaureate in Illustration/Comics) and HEAD – Geneva (BA in Visual Communication), he maintains an independent practice as an illustrator alongside his academic responsibilities.
His passion for the natural sciences has also led him to pursue training in ornithology.
