The project “Who cares? Welfare State and Gender (In)Equality: A Eurasian perspective” aims at producing a database on pre-school (0-3/6-year-old) childcare-related policies in selected European and Asian countries since the 1990s to present day.

This Action aims to define and develop an emerging research field that explores the relationships among voluntary associations, families and states in the creation of social welfare in Europe. It takes as its time span the mid-19thcentury to the present. More particularly, it focuses on the question of how state welfare emerged from the social welfare provided by non-profit, non-state institutions and individuals; how it has developed and changed over time; and how, in recent years, it has entered into crisis in many countries.

Ce projet propose d’étudier les effets du confinement sur les dynamiques familiales. Il observe les conditions d’articulation entre vie professionnelle et familiale pendant et après le confinement, pour analyser in fine les recompositions des inégalités entre et au sein des familles.
